Welcome to my little wildfower project. This year, I'm going all out on wildflower season by making it the subject of my first blog. I've been photographing things like crazy lately, so it's time to rein it in to a focused project. Above, a little sedge that was blooming along my road in Little River. It kind of stopped me in my tracks - spring happens so subtly and gradually here, blooming things tend to sneak up on you. I haven't keyed this guy out (too busy taking pictures), but you need a mature fruit to ID sedges. In any case, this is supposed to be educational... And my message for today is just to go out and seek those signs of spring.
